So, Erika (snazzykat) pointed out to me last night that the company that supplies our development enivronment, Vignette, is fucked!!! It’s not a suprize to me, but it’s still fun…I’m pretty sure that my company is responsible for a drop in there revenue — when we signed the multi-million dollar licensing deal with them, we were entitled to a few months of “professional assistance”. They would send a couple developers over to help us in our transisiton — we didn’t need them, but the powers that be decided to ignore their staff and continuously bring in more of these “professionals” — for an additional two years!. Eventually, Vignette got smart to the fact that we were using their high-priced “professionals” as low-end temps, and they started sending us straight-out-of-college-I-don’t-know-HTML “professionals” at the ticket price of $250 per hour!!!

and then I didn’t see a raise for a year and a half…I wonder why?
