Time for summer school, and a little more studying

I don’t condone the violence in the world, but I’ve made the following observation: we, Americans, are really good at it! I’ve been reading the news over the last couple months and have realized that — not saying it’s right — when we set out to hurt or kill people, we exceed our wildest expectations! Look at Columbine — two kids, a small arsenal, a few weeks planning, and they kill 17 including themselves? Look at the man of the hour, Timmy McViolent: supposedly one guy, a truck, some fertilizer, and he splits a building in half and kills 160+. Now, compare to the stories of fighting in the Gaza Strip: Suicide Bomber only injures 3; doesn’t kill self. Isrealies fire rockets at Palestinians; 7 lightly injuried.

Why is it that some disturbed-having-problems-with-puberty kids, or a backwoods militant, can do more damage for their nothing-fill-in-the-blank cause than the people who have been fighting over religion and land for their whole lives?
