the further adventures of March Madness (pt. 1):
ESPN has a “second chance” tournament, which just goes from the Sweet 16 through the Finals. It assumes that you have all 16 teams available to start.
so far, I’m 100%90.2%[edited:3/29]57.1% and I’m OUT! Finished! Done![edited:3/30]

Friday, March 28th, 2003

so…I’ve been poking around, and it seems that the majority of people using blogrolling are using the javascript version.
I tested out the php version, and compared to the javascript version, it’s terribly slow.
Is the a common experience?

Erika pointed this out to me this morning.
How about on the “eve of war” when we were taking advantage of a “target of opportunity”? The press had no other information for about 8 hours, so every reporter had to fill time with “target of opportunity” and “decapitating strike”. I’m picturing the folks in the news […]

so…I’m not the biggest sports fan. I enjoy baseball (maybe this year…), and football (Go Pats!), but that’s about it, as far as the knowing/following/caring goes, for the most part. Everything else is just limited to SportCenter.
It isn’t suprising that I’m not doing too well in my ESPN March Madness Tournament Challenge. What do I […]

Strong odor shuts down Park Street station
My commute was disturbed this morning due to this “strong odor”.
While I was standing on the train, just after they said that service would be stopped indefinately, everyone thought it must of been someone who jumped on the tracks — it’s not a surprising, it’s common enough to affect […]

have a nice day

so…my office building is host to a bunch of consulates and semi-important organizations. There are also a few service based companies that have clients come in.
post 9/11, the building began teying to be a bit more secure (my desk is two floors up, and 200 feet to the left of the Israeli Consulate). We all […]

so…boston.com says it’s 55 and sunny. It is. I was just out there. There’s a bit of a breeze, but it’s getting warmer. Warner is a relative term, as in relative to what it was yesterday, or last week, or last month — we’re not talking about a heat wave (just as a side note, […]

free enneagram test
so…I tried this test out. Pretty close (I think). A little off, but considering that some of the questions have you choose from answers that aren’t even opposites (can’t you be “detached and preoccupied” AND” moody and self-absorbed” at the same time?), what are you gonna do? I think that’s what […]

gigabyte me!

Thursday, March 27th, 2003

so…yesterday my boss called me into his office — I’m not worried, although this is how he’s started a couple of deep, layoff-ish convos in the past. He says that he’s proud, and would like to congratulate me: I’m #1!
#1?
yep…#1 bandwidth consumer for our entire U.S. network! I know, you’re thinking, big deal…really, how hard […]

sleep

I was just thinking that I was tired, and I opened up IE and typed “sleep” into the address locator…like that was going to help
