Bush launches do-not-call list to stop telemarketers

‘’Unwanted telemarketing calls are intrusive, they are annoying, and they’re all too common,'’ Bush said at a White House ceremony.

Way to get on the bandwagon, W. Saying that Bush had anything to do with this is like Gore saying he invented the internet.

People began registering just after midnight. As of Friday morning, Bush said 108 people were adding their phone numbers to the list every second.

Shit! That wasn’t the number to call inquiring about the alledged WMD? Damn! Well, at least I got something out of it!

Exemptions from the list include calls from charities, pollsters and on behalf of politicians.

Of course…gotta get the calls from the politicians. I’d rather get 20 credit card offers during dinner than one call from a politician. At least the credit card offers don’t ruin my appetite.
