so original

I know it’s been said, many times, many ways…

Don’t you hate when words that you use all the time begin to look strange? I hate second guessing my spelling on common words!

I’ve been battling with the word “flag” all afternoon.
flag flag flag flag
if flag = this then that
or can you flag this

after a bit, it just doesn’t look right…

I used to run into this with “jungle” and “apple” as well…

Anyone who has ever had to do a mass mailing and sign every single letter will know that horror. As a professional fundraiser, a rule of the trade is that you always sign every letter and write a nice little note. By the time I’ve signed 500 letters, I’m spelling my own name wrong.

I had a day recently on which ‘who’ and ‘why’ stopped looking like words at all.

And Nicole, I know what you’re talking about–once I had to sign each fund drive receipt letter with the false signatures of two people, and make them look different. At the end of that I didn’t know who I was anymore.
