Erika bought me Madden 2004 yesterday!
They’ve added a few new things to last year’s Madden, most notably the Create a Team and Owner’s Mode.
The Create-a-Team function allows you to create a new stadium, complete with fly-through preview. I’ve created the Damn Dirty Apes, based out of Everett, Mass. They play at “The Masshole”. They have a fantasy draft, so my team is looking pretty sweet (did I just say “pretty sweet” and “fantasy draft” in the same sentence? shit! oh, well, no turning back now…).
In the Owner’s Mode you can control every aspect of the team, from staffing to prices for parking, tickets, concessions, and merchandise. The only problem is that if you import a created team into the franchise mode you can’t take advantage of Owner’s Mode…oh, well…
Time to brush up on my shit talkin’ and my playbook: Reilly just got PS2 and Madden, so there might be some games and beers this weekend.
