I’m not normally a list person, but I know that it helps Erika, so I’ll give it a try…
Things to do between now and then:
Take Eniv. Geo. mid-term
Get final closing costs from laywer(e)
schedule final walkthrough(e)
take off from work Thursday/Friday/Monday/Wednesday/Friday
get bank check for closing(e)
pick up home insurance binder from agent(e)
finish packing
kiss Erika (repeatedly)
drink a beer
settle a couple of ebay transactions
finish packing some more
final walkthrough
closing
remember to breathe
clean apartment
clean house
flea bomb house (just in case)
HOME DEPOT!
change locks
take care of misc. address changes
set up tv and cable modem
try to cancel Comcast appt., if everything works
tackle the master bedroom project — new carpet, new walls (remove paneling, patch and paint)
unpack
buy a treadmill, and weight bench
find a new-used car…a Jeep Cherokee
wake up really early for my new commute
sleep on the train (the joys of getting on at the first stop and off at the last)
fix gutters
install bathroom vent/fan
install programmable thermostat
find furnace and heating guy, just in case
replace various outlets with GFCI
investigate adding a hall/bathroom closet
get vinyl siding estimate
fix landscape grading
take Walker for oral surgery
remove drop ceiling in living room, kitchen, and dining room
host Thanksgiving dinner for 8, plus a baby, and two dogs
“temporarily” take in Erika’s folks’ 3 cats (yes, that would make for 6 cats!)
Phish @ Fleet 12/2!!!
Pats vs. Miami 12/7 (maybe)
make sure they take the cats back
investigate security systems
figure out class chedule for next semester
redo roof in the spring
rebuild deck in spring
commit myself to an institution
