Magazine-ripping library patron: ‘I’m not a rabble-rouser’

The patron, John Callaghan, was offended by the cover of a recent issue of The Advocate, a national gay and lesbian magazine, that pictured two bare-chested men leaning in to kiss each other.

Outraged that the library was using taxpayers’ money to carry the periodical, Callaghan tore off the cover and took it home.

He took it home? He was so offended that he brought it to his house? Maybe it wasn’t that offended…

Hmmm… yes, sounds like he was *very* offended there. I mean, when something offends me, I take it home to enjoy it - er, be offended by it - even more!

I’m sure he went right home and threw it in the trash.

    Right.

If these people would just get out of the closet we could all enjoy the library in peace. Sheesh.
