…I just come off that way in meetings.
My boss and I was pretty close (as far as work goes), and I’m all for showing a unified front in the face of editorial/marketing/senior management adversity, but, I’ve developed a problem: My boss hasn’t quite figured out that if something is mentioned in a meeting at my company, even in passing, the vultures will figure out if it can be used to their advantage and hold us to it.
I learned this very early on, but now I’m reduced to coming off like a dick to my boss and basically telling him, in front of others, “ummm…no. that sucks.”
He says he understands…
