there’s no escape from the snooze button
Matt thinks he is the “king of the snooze button“, but I am the King of the CD Alarm Clock.
I can detect the sound of the CD spinning up, before the music comes on, and hit snooze.
And have you noticed that the “snooze time” has become non-standard?
It used to be that all “snoozes” were 9 minutes apart — I know this as I spent the first 4 months of my first foray at college majoring in snooze.
I’ve seen alarm clocks with “variable-length” snoozes, and my snooze clocks in at 8 minutes.
It’s funny how you can easily run through your times tables in a half-sleep stupor and calculate what time it is based on your snooze attempts…

LOL! that’s the only math i can actually do — adding and subtracting by 9s.

mine is 7. i also have to account for the 20 mins the clock is fast to know if i’m late yet or not.

oh, yeah…the threshold to our bedroom is like crossing an internation date line, complete with its own form of daylight savings: my clock is between 10-12 minutes fast, and Erika’s is 15 minutes fast, and there is a random hidden digital watch that beeps on the hour, which is always 5 minutes before the clock downstairs chimes…
screw math! I need a passport!
