do I look like the doorman?
so…our office has keypadded entries at all of the doors except the main door near the receptionist. Every once and a while, like 2 or 3 times a week, we get deliveries to the kitchen, like water or soda. These are most likely scheduled deliveries, but I would imagine that they still check in at the front desk. Instead of walking them over, our receptionist aways tells them, “just go over and knock.”
ummm…no. Don’t knock. I won’t answer.
I’m not a paranoid person, but if someone doesn’t have the code, it means that they shouldn’t be let in the door just because they knocked!
someone is knocking right now, and has been for 5 minutes…
everyone that sits arounds me, including myself, wears headphones…

“just go over and knock” translates to “i’m too lazy to get up and open the door for you, so i’ll make someone else do it”.
people these days. sheesh.
