so…it’s been the impression of a few of my co-workers that our boss shoulders too much responsiblity, and might be on the verge of cracking. We’ve told him this a few times, and it seems that one of those times he listened…

for the last year, or so, I’ve been on third watch beeper support. This basically means I do nothing, and get a small stipend for it. Being on third watch means that an alert needs to go off 6 consecutive times before I’m even paged! Well…not anymore!!!

I am now the primary support for the four main web servers, as well as secondary for our three database servers!!

Now I can’t just leave my beeper in my backpack until the batteries die…and now I need to actually work when I’m “working from home!”
