weekend wrap up
I had a great weekend, even though it started a bit rough…
At 4:15PM on Friday, I found a bug in the latest revision to my project at work that was charging customers at the wrong time — like 7 days early. It was only going on for 3 days, but still…it’s about $6K that we shouldn’t have collected. So, I was here until 6:30PM. I missed all of my trains, but Erika picked me up and we went out to dinner, which made up for it all.
Saturday morning, we met up with Su and Jay for a training walk for Erika and Su’s (and Jessie and Amy’s) 3-day breast cancer walk this summer. It was a great walk around the Charles River and the Fens — I think it was around 8 miles. I was feeling really good and healthy, until yesterday when my feet started aching. Erika, Su and Jessie did another walk yesterday, so I’m not going to complain about my pain…
We went and saw Eddie From Ohio at the Somerville Theater Saturday night, with Su and Jay, and Jay’s folks. As always, it was a great show. I think a few of their new songs are a little slow, but they are a folk-rock band…you need some folk in there, right? We won a raffle at the show for a free movie at the theater and dinner at Johnny D’s!
Yesterday was a day for yard work, and various other things. I hung our new birdfeeder; I put up the new garden hose hanger, and fixed the old faucet; I fixed the cable problems we’ve been having.
And then there is the Walker saga…but I’m not talking about him anymore.
And now it’s Monday, and I’m ready for bed…
