bitch, bitch, bitch…censorship is a bitch…
The Boston Globe, among other papers, wouldn’t show today’s Doonesbury comic strip due to the language — Garry Trudeau refused to censor the word “bitch.”
I dig that there are some smart comic strips out there, but when did it become the role of the funny papers to not be funny anymore? I’m the first person to say that some people are retarded, and that it’s possible that this is only way that some people would get their news, but it just seems that 50% of the comics in the paper today are more serious than funny.

I find it interesting that both Get Fuzzy and Doonesbury have a character who has had an amputation because of the war in Iraq. It’s one hell of a coincedence, but maybe it’ll help people realize that althought the death toll percentage in this war is very small there is still death, and some things that can come pretty close.
Besides, the Boston Globe stinks, why bother reading it?

I still found it funny, though. Trudeau does a nice job of combining life with humor.
