SEASON
The season will be six weeks long, plus playoffs and championships.
Regular Season
Starts Friday June 11. The week runs Friday through the next Thursday. All games should be played before the end of the week — make ups will be due if not.

Scheduling games is the responsiblity of the players. If you feel like playing more games during a week, a future week’s game(s) can be played — this will help eliminate conflicts with vacations and such. In the event that two teams happen to be in the same physical location (either through living with the other team, or a visit) games could be played at your leisure. However, keep in mind that entire season much we played, and that standings are not final until the last game is played. Games that are played between teams that are not counted and are to be exhibition: please be clear in the intention of your game before you begin play.

4 games per team per week; 24 games per team per season; 48+ opportunites for shit-talkin’ per season.

Playoffs
1st place and 4th place teams will challenge each other; 2nd and 3rd place teams will challenge each other.
The team with the best record (1st and 2nd) will have home field advantage.
Best 2 of 3 series.

Championship
The winners of each playoff game will meet in a Season Championship. This will be a best of 3 series.

The losers of each playoff will meet in a consolation series to determine who is the biggest loser.

Playoffs and Championship games will take place during the 7/24-8/13 time period due to vacations and 3-day fundraising walks. If the games are played sooner, that’s great, but the entire time is reserved just in case.

GAME SETTINGS
The home team will challenge the visiting team.

The home team is responsible to going into Game Settings, Visual Settings and turn the Pitching Cursor OFF

In the event of a disconnect, or an unfair behavior DQ, the game will stand as a completed game if the losing team has completed 5 innings.

There is a glitch in the game as far as 2nd-5th starting pitchers go: The roster’s ace is alway warmed up at the beginning of the game, while the other starters are cold. If you want to always pitch with your ace, that’s fine. It might get stale, but ok. If you want to give the other guys a shot, warm them up once the game starts, and make sure you do a mound visit during the first inning, and then sub them in the second inning.

As far as using starters as closers: if that’s what you need to do, well…
(try to exercise your bullpen. Starters shouldn’t make an appearance until late in a game, like during extra innings.)
