so…I’m on the T today, and had a thought:
What is the purpose of a doo rag?
I mean, is it just a fashion statement, or does it have a function? I guess hats are a fashion statement and have a function, but is it more than that?
I’m not trying to be stupid here, either, I just noticed a lot of doo rags today, and don’t quite get the doo rag/doo rag with a hat/hat without a doo rag thing.

In my experience they are most often used by people who :
a. Didn’t wash their hair.
b. Washed hair but didn’t have time to fix it, ie, with styling products or braiding.
Maybe everyone was too tired after last night’s game.
