“politics: the other, other white meat” or “politics: it’s what’s for breakfast”

This morning, Derrick Z. Jackson had an interesting editiorial in the Boston Globe: “Food fight”

The candidates may purport to know you through what you eat, but do you know what politics you are eating?

The food companies…are putting their money where their mouths are. In a tight election, do you want to risk indigestion voting one way, only to realize you just swallowed a food that overwhelmingly funded the other side?

This is nothing new, or surprising, but it does spark interest and make you say “what should I do about it?” — like when you find out that your favorite products are tested on animals…
