walking a mile in…well…someone else’s…
so…I work with a few people that might border on being germ-phobic. You know the type: they avoid using the door handles anywhere, not just in the bathrooms…
well, there is this one guy that takes it to an extreme. He pulls his sleeve over his hand to punch the keypad to get into the office. He hooks his arm into the door handle to open the door.
Like germs aren’t going to be living all over his clothes, now…
so…I got to thinking about this today when i walked into the bathroom and noticed how rank and disgusting the floor was in front of the urinal. Come on guys, you know what I’m talking about. And you women out there, if you’ve ever been to a guy’s place, or lived with men, you know too. I got to wondering:
Does anyone ever think about the fact that they track everyone’s urine all over the office, while they’re avoiding touching the doorknobs?
I have also noticed that the same people who are so doorknob-phobic are usually the first ones to dig into the free candy at the front desk. We’re talking about unwrapped candy, like gummy bears. Do they really think that the people that “contaminated” the doorknobs aren’t putting their grubby hands all over the candy, too?!

you forgot the use a towel to open the bathroom door. My favorite are the people that dont wash their hands after the bathroom and just smile at you when they walk out because they know you noticed but don’t care.

maybe that’s why “the rookie” stands so far back.

I just think it’s weird that people have become much more germ phobic now. Is it me or has this become more common?
