MVP 2005 Baseball: in the bizarro world

so…I’m hoping that spring training is almost over. I played Reilly this weekend, and got handed my first loss, and I played Druzba twice tonight and dealt him a proper beatdown each time.

Actually, the first game was aDQ on the DR, due to unsportsmanlike conduct (read: disconnected while losing); it was 5-1, Red Sox over the Asstros, and went 5 innings, so it counted.

The second game was a slugfest between the Nationals and the Asstros. Clemens got the loss — he game up a HR to pitcher Livan Hernandez! — and was ejected for charging the mound after getting hit by a pitch. The final score was Nats 7, Asstros 3.

One side note: I think I’m going to start calling Druzba “first base” if only because he can’t seem to ever throw the ball there!!!

  1. Druzba Says:

Seriously, the thing disconnected on its own during the first game! If anything, I know to take my beatings like a man.

And about this first base thing… you might call it “plentiful errors” but I call it “redefining the game.” Everyone laughed at Fosbury and his Fosbury Flop but who’s high jumping like Fosbury now? Case. In. Point.

yes, but Fosbury still made it to the expected target!

    Play’s. At. First.
