of mice and men: build a better mouse trap, and the world will ask you what is wrong with a store-bought trap
so…we have a mouse.
When I started working on my convert-the-garage-to-a-workshop project this summer, I noticed the remnants of what could only be called an advanced civilization of mice — we’re talking buildings, paved highways, supermarkets, and an elaborate elevator system in the walls. No mice, just the ruins of a time gone past.
well, one (ha, ha, like I believe he’s the only one!) has made its way into our house — probably as an advance scout.
Our cats have been recreating every episode of Tom and Jerry AND Itchy and Scratchy for the last couple of nights in their futile attempts to catch the savage beast, and it’s been wreaking havoc on Erika’s ability to sleep (not like she was getting much sleep before that). I’m going to figure out a way to trap the little sucker before Princess decides to bring us a present in the middle of the night — and she will bring it right into bed, too!
I figure that anywhere that I would put a trap would be also found by the cats (except in the basement), which presents the possiblity of it turning into a cat trap, or just makes for a dead mouse delivery service for the cats. Erika suggested catching it and releasing it outside, but my questions is how far am I going to travel to release this thing so it doesn’t end up back in the house? If I paint “Mouse Removal and Transport” on the side of my Jeep do you think I could write it off as a buisness?
It’s almost that time of year where I need to re-weatherproof the house, so I guess I’ll wait until them to see if I can’t find where the little bugger it coming in.

If the cats dont get him and the humaine traps dont work try this site http://www.woodstream.com/ They make electric mouse traps. Opie from the opie and anthony show XM radio tried them and they do work extremely well.
