another 10 cents, and people have lost their minds
so…an update to yesterday’s 4-cent gas increase:
I got off the train this evening, and the price of regular gas had gone from $2.639 to $2.739, and every pump had at least 3 cars lined up!
I know that this is nothing compared to other places — I’ve heard that some stations in Atlanta have run out of gas; places in South Carolina are going to start $20/car gas rationing; and stations on Long Island are anywhere from $3.00-$4.00 — but this is 14 cents in less than 48 hours, at a relatively stable and cheap station…I can wait to see what the holiday weekend brings…

Dude…The cumberland farms station in Drum Hill this morning? $3.11 for regular. I cannot wait to get my car back and unload this SUV. $50 bucks and the sucker still wasn’t full.

People went nuts here in Atlanta yesterday. Emails started going out that the price would increase and/or the stations would run out. Gas went from 2.69 to 3.55 in my neighborhood. I saw on the news last night that one station downtown was charging 7.99 for premium and the idiot owner said “no one is buying candy or beer, I have to make money somewhere.”
