intelligent design my ass!
so…while filling up my gas tank ($2.13/gallon) tonight, I saw almost every single thing they tell you NOT to do at the pump. All by one lady…
The beat-up old pick-up truck was running while she was filling the tank, while she was on her cellphone. When she was done filling the truck up, she sent her teen-aged daughter in to have the pump reset. She then proceeded to fill up a 2-gallon gas can, while holding it in the air. When she finished that, and she couldn’t find a place to put the can in the pick-up bed, she brought the can into the truck’s cab, for her daughter, who was smoking a cigarette, to hold on the drive home.
I swear, I didn’t know if I should leave the station, mid-fill, to get away from her, or if I should leave the station, mid-fill, to follow — at a safe distance — to see how far away the stupidity was going to be from my home.

I’ve seen people do stuff like that. I almost did leave because I saw a guy smoking while pumping gas. Then, I saw a guy drive off with the hose attached spewing gas everywhere. I left on that one.

I usually tell people what they’re doing wrong. For instance, I wouldn’t let one guy fill his 5 gallon tank the wrong way. If that thing goes up there is a good chance it’ll take me with it. That and sometimes its good for the stress levels to yell at stupid people.
Happy Thanksgiving.

hahahaha! OMG that is too stupid to be made up. my brother always shakes his head and says ‘natural selection will get them sooner or later’….
but, but, i’ve driven off with the pump attached. twice. maybe more if i count way back. nothing blew up. and it doesn’t cost as much as you would think
