Hi neighbor. Can I borrow your life’s work?
so…the first time I heard that new Bob Dylan/iPod commercial with the song “Someday Baby” I got all confused. I thought it sounded terribly familiar, like maybe it was an old Dylan tune, and he just funked it up and redid it…I mean, the album is called “Modern Times.” I kept meaning to look up the lyrics, and today when I did, I found BrownsvilleGirl’s take on it all, and how it is really a not-so-creative reworking of Muddy Waters’ “Trouble No More.”
I felt I little dumb for not picking up on it sooner — the Allman Brothers version of “Trouble No More” gets played in this house at least 3-4 times a week — but I’ll make the excuse that I too distracted trying to understand what Bob Dyaln was saying — the years have not made him the most eloquent vocalist.

There was a story on NPR today about how he “borrowed” a lot of lyrics from Henry Timrod. http://pool.dylantree.com/phorum5/read.php?1,642969
