so…I was in the first group of 60 to get called up to a courtroom. After all of the challenges, I came 10 people away from being impanelled.

In the first pass through the 60 potentials, at least 20 stated that they might have a hard time serving their duty. I understand that. However, at least 6 impanelled jurors came up with excuses after the fact to be excused! It got so bad that the judge finally said “no more excuses.”

I am surprised to see the people that were excused by challenge back in the pool. I think if you get excused for any reason, you should be free to go…why run the risk of double jury jeopardy if you get called twice in the same day?
