give me a “who-haw, two-times-Tuesday!”
so…I want to be so wrong on this, but, the Red Sox are going to screw this whole deal with Mike Lowell, all on the grounds of a fucking year — but, they’ll contemplate giving a 10-year, $300+ million offer to Arod?
2008 might be the year of the idiot all over again…

in response to the topic of “questions we don’t have answers for”, the guy who was filling in for Jason Smith (my favorite *puke*) on ESPN Radio this morning reached back to the Oracle of the Baja Men and felt that the most important unanswered question of our time was “Who Let the Dogs Out?”
“yeah, we never really found out.”

If the MBTA would actually fine the people that smoke on the platform (usually under the No Smoking signs) the $100 I bet they could rollback the last three fare increases.

It’s hard to believe they would let Lowell walk over 1 year but they’ve done it before with other players. Lowell is built for Fenway and will just not be the same player in Yankee Stadium.
As for A-rod, I certainly don’t want him in a Red Sox uniform but I think you have to also look at next season. Manny’s contract is up and will he stick around in Boston, will Theo want to sign Manny again? If they did sign A-rod and eventually watched Manny head to the Yankees, his 40+ homers a season would come in handy. Of course once October rolled around, A-rod might as well ride the bench where as Manny is actually productive in the post season…. Just ask Kenny Lofton what he thinks of manny….
