so…actual conversation:
Clerk: ma’am, please hold your coffee. I don’t want you to spill it on my papers.
Lady #123: Oh, sorry. Does that happen often?
Clerk: It happened six weeks ago. The woman is still here.
ahhh…jury humor.

so…I’m sitting in a room with 125-plus people. The way the tables are set up I would think that we were getting ready to play bingo, but the “JURY POOL” stencil on the back of each chair is informing me otherwise.
I, unfortunately, didn’t have the time to radically change my appearance — add a few […]

so…I got to bed an hour earlier last night, and I overslept by an hour this morning. For all the extra sleep, I feel like crap!
I’ve been fight a sinus headache for about a week, and I think without the normal fog that I’m in during the early morning hours the headache is taking every […]

so…when you were in, oh, maybe, kindergarten, or first grade, were you taught to always walk on the right when on the stairs or in a hallway?
well, nobody that I work with was EVER taught that!
AND they like to walk side-by-side down the hallway that only has room for two people…and look at you […]

so…yesterday turned out to be the longest work day I’ve had in 6-7 years: 6am - 9 pm.
True, there was a quarterly business meeting last night that might have involved some drinks, but seriously, how relaxing is a drink if you’re talking about work?

so…if it turns out that I’m overly aggressive today at work I’m totally blaming it on the fact that I watched the first big fight scene between Neo and 156,873 Agent Smiths in Matrix Reloaded this morning during breakfast.
You can’t put a movie like that on, even at 4:00 in the morning, and not expect […]

so…
I left my building ID at home today. I hate when I do that! Now I’ve got to walk around with this “visitor pass” sticker all day, and knock on the office door to get in should I have to leave if nature calls…

so…Erika is picking me up in the city today, so it didn’t make sense to drive to the train station, to only have the Jeep sit there overnight; I took a cab to the station.
I called the cab company at 7:30 last night to request a cab for 5AM. Now, when we lived closer to […]

so…here we are today, on another Monday Morning train ride…
——–
There is a woman on the train that has a ‘magical chimes’ sound on her phone, maybe for her text message alert. Well, it sounds EXACTLY like the sound on those old read-along storybook tapes that signaled for us to turn the page:
Brrrrrrrrrriiiiiinnnggggg
I feel like she’s […]

so…
I installed the downstairs AC last night, with the drafted help from my neighbor Mark.
There was some cursing, swearing, and cussing, and some duct tape, but it’s in, and it works.
Now here’s hoping for a smoother installation of the one in our bedroom.

this really goes without saying, but I am ever the one to overstate […]
